Overview
Ngorongoro crater which is also known as the Unbroken Caldera is also a geo-park and a world heritage site is located in the northern Tanzania just 2.5-3 hours’ drive from Arusha.
The Crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself two to three million years ago. It is famous for both its geological delights and for being a natural reserve which is home to some of the densest large mammal populations in the whole of the African continent. The drive down the into the Crater is an adventure in itself and when you reach the Crater floor, you quickly find yourself amongst large numbers of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species.

Location: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Duration: unlimited game drive

Early morning after breakfast, you will depart from Arusha to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will first see the view of the beautiful crater at the view point and take stunning photos for memories and a special moment. You will descend down the crater whereby on the way you will pass several Maasai villages and then down to the floor where you will get a chance to see a huge number of mammals and the animals are easy to spot at this incredible crater floor.
After lunch and an extensive game drive, you will drive back to Arusha which marks the end of your epic adventure.
